What is a UPI QR Code?

A UPI QR code encodes your UPI Virtual Payment Address (VPA) so customers can pay you by scanning — instead of typing your UPI ID manually. It supports GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, Amazon Pay, BHIM, and every other UPI-enabled app in India.

Fixed Amount vs Open Amount

Leave the amount blank for an open-amount QR — the customer enters the amount. Set a fixed amount for specific invoices or products. Fixed-amount QRs are useful for street food stalls, parking, or any fixed-price items.

Where to Use Your UPI QR

  • Shop counter — Print and laminate. A4 size works well.
  • Delivery packaging — Add to bags for repeat customers.
  • Visiting cards — Freelancers and consultants.
  • Invoices — Embed QR in PDF invoices.

Verify your UPI ID is correct and active. Use the Large or Print size for physical prints. Print at minimum 3×3 cm. Ensure good lighting when scanning. Low contrast or blurry prints reduce reliability.
