What is a UPI QR Code?

A UPI QR code encodes your UPI Virtual Payment Address (VPA) so customers can pay you by scanning — instead of typing your UPI ID manually. It supports GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, Amazon Pay, BHIM, and every other UPI-enabled app in India.

You can set a fixed amount that pre-fills in the payment app, but most UPI apps allow the user to modify it before confirming. For controlled amounts, use payment gateway links instead.
Verify your UPI ID is correct and active. Use the Large or Print size for physical prints. Print at minimum 3×3 cm. Ensure good lighting when scanning. Low contrast or blurry prints reduce reliability.
UPI payments between individuals are free. Business transactions may have charges depending on your payment service provider. The QR code itself has no fee.
